Art has spent most of his career working as a youth worker or in retail management. Throughout his life a he has always maintained passion enjoying outdoors, as an avid hiker and considering his love of animals, joining Dog-Trotters was an easy decision when he was looking for a career change. Due to combining a number of skills from his past, risk assessment, customer service, managing groups and encouraging learning with a structured approach are second nature to him and he took to the job immediately. He’s excellent with the dogs and customers a like. His approach to working with dogs is similar to when he worked with young people understanding each and everyone is different, reading body language, continual assessment and taking on the feedback from customers this enables him to integrate dogs in the groups he walks with great success. Please read his reviews to get first hand feedback on how he works with the dogs.
Dog-Trotters was established in 2005 by myself, Flossie Allinson, and I cover the Godalming area. Over the last thirteen years our services have been in high demand, and we’ve grown to incorporate a strong team of walkers. Art Porter joined Dog-Trotters in 2015 and runs the Cranleigh branch. Tom Leader and Jenny Lake cover Chiddingfold and the surrounding villages, and I continue to look after the original Godalming area where it all began over a decade ago. Together we work as a team, and we’re extremely proud of the excellent service we’re able to offer.
